Rainbow spaghetti
by Besige Breintjies
You will need:...
◾Pasta of your choice (We find spaghetti or linguine works best)
◾Ziplock bags
◾Food colouring in colours of your choice.
How it’s made:
1.Boil the pasta in a pot with salty water until cooked.
2.Add 20 drops of food colouring and 2 tablespoons of water to each ziplock bag.
3.When pasta is cooked, put in a strainer and rinse it with cold water.
4.Transfer the pasta, portioning it as you go, into the bags of food colouring.
5.Seal the bags, and mix the pasta and food colouring until well-combined. Let each bag sit for at least a minute.
6.Then one by one, return each batch of coloured noodles to your strainer, give it a second cold-water rinse, and transfer it back to your pot. When all of the colours of pasta have been rinsed and are back in the pot, toss the noodles together until you have a colourful mix.
7.Serve with your favourite pasta toppings.
