Brunch in a cup
French Toast in a Mug

Ingredients
•1 large egg
•¼ cup milk
•1 ½ tbsp maple syrup
•1 tsp ground cinnamon
•Pinch of salt
•½ tbsp unsalted butter, at room temperature
•1 slice white bread

Method
1.Whisk together the egg, milk, maple syrup, cinnamon and a pinch of salt in a large mug until combined.
2.Evenly spread the butter on one side of the bread.
3.Cut the bread into bitesize pieces and add them to the mug, pressing down lightly so all the bread is submerged.
4.Microwave the bread mixture on high for 2 minutes, pausing every 30 seconds.
5.Let the French toast cool in the mug for about 1 minute before serving.
