Health rusks with Jungle Oats
Makes 35 (you can double the recipe)
80 g Jungle Oats Cooking Oats
40 g Jungle Oat Bran
360 g cake flour
2,5 ml salt
140 g soft brown sugar
75 g sunflower seeds
50 g pecan nuts, chopped
250 g butter, melted
250 ml buttermilk
1. Preheat the oven to 180° C. Grease one oven pan.
2. Mix all the dry ingredients together.
3. Mix the melted butter and buttermilk together and add to the dry ingredients. Mix well.
4. Press into the prepared pan. Bake for about 30 minutes. Allow to cool for a few minutes. Cut into slices and spread the rusks in a single layer on a large baking sheet. Dry out in the oven at 80° C for about 4 hours.
