Luxurious chocolate sandwich

Serves 2 sandwiches
about 30 ml (2 Tbsp) butter or margarine, softened
4 slices Blue Ribbon white bread
100 g dark chocolate, chopped
cooking oil for frying
cinnamon-sugar for sprinkling

 

  1. Butter the bread slices. Turn two buttered-sides to bottom and sprinkle unbuttered sides with chocolate. Place the remaining slices, with buttered-sides on top, to cover.
  2. Heat oil in a large, heavy-based frying pan over low heat and fry the bread for about 2 minutes on each side, until golden brown. Sprinkle cinnamon-sugar over. Cut sandwiches in half and serve immediately.
