Camouflage Cupcakes
Begin with preparing a white and chocolate cake mix in line with the instructions on the package. To bake the best camouflage cupcakes, you have to use four batter colours. You can give these colours a try: chocolate batter, white batter, two equal parts of chocolate batter and white batter which blend together to form a light brown color. See to it that you have white batter that is coloured with green food colouring and is splattered with several tablespoons of chocolate batter for the green camouflage colour to pop out!
Instructions : Start by dropping spoon-fulls of every kind of batter in the muffin tins. Kindly note that this is a process that consumes a lot of time and creates a bit of a mess, don’t give up though, you are just getting started. The next step is to preheat the oven all the way up to 350 degrees F. Line the cupcake tins with paper tins. Follow the directions in the package and prepare cake mix batter in two different bowls. Please use four mid-sized bowls: in bowl number one pour in two cups of the white cake batter. In bowl number two: pour in a single cup of white cake batter and another cup of chocolate cake batter, mix them together. In bowl number three: pour in two cups of the white cake batter and green food color add into it three tablespoons of the chocolate frosting and mix them together. In bowl number four: pour in two cups of chocolate batter. Now pick a tablespoon of every colour and put it in every cupcake tin. Continue repeating the colours till when they reach two thirds full in the tin. Now you should put the mixture in the oven and let it bake for eighteen minutes. Remove the ready cupcakes from the oven and let them cool off.
Make the frosting: To make great frosting, you should add a single tablespoon of the white frosting into the chocolate frosting and mix the two together. In the green colored camouflage frosting add to it a single chocolate frosting tablespoon and add white frosting with green food coloring till when you achieve the desired shade. Take a gallon Ziploc bag and spoon in the green coloured camouflage. Do the same with the chocolate frosting but in a different gallon Ziploc bag. The remaining vanilla frosting should also be placed in a gallon Ziploc bag. Now cut of all the Ziploc Bags corners and place all in a huge pastry bag that has been fitted with a star tip and pipe frosting on the readymade cupcakes that have cooled off. Now you can serve your precious cupcakes!
