Pan pizza




Pan pizza
Serves 4 - 6

Base
500 ml (280 g) Snowflake cake flour
15 ml baking powder
3 ml salt
1 extra-large egg
200 ml milk
60 ml olive oil

Topping
Salami, onions, gherkins, peppadews or olives of choice
2 extra-large eggs
160 ml milk
salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
250 ml (100 g) grated Cheddar cheese
15 ml chopped fresh parsley or 5 ml dried

Base: Sift flour, baking powder and salt together. Whisk egg, milk and oil together. Add to dry ingredients, cut in with a knife and knead well to a soft dough. Press into base of a greased, medium baking or oven-roasting pan.

Topping: Layer ingredients such as salami, onion slices or any other topping ingredients of choice onto dough.

Whisk eggs, milk and seasoning together. Pour over topping ingredients. Sprinkle cheese and parsley over. Bake in a preheated oven at 180 °C for about 20 minutes.
