Choc Fruitcake Squares



Ingredients
750g mixed cake fruit
200ml (2/3 cup) water
300ml (1 1/3 cup) self-raising flour
30ml (2 Tbsp) NESTLÉ'83 Cocoa
2ml (1/2 tsp) cinnamon
2ml (1/2 tsp) nutmeg
385g can of NESTLÉ'83 Condensed Milk
1 egg, beaten
90ml (6 Tbsp) brandy
NESTLÉ'83 EASY MELT –Dark for coating
NESTLÉ'83 EASY MELT –White
Whole pecan nuts for decoration
Method
Preheat oven to 180°'a1C. Place half the fruit into a saucepan and add the water. Bring
to the boil and boil for 2-3 minutes. Remove from the heat and allow to cool. Add the
remaining ingredients and mix well. Place in a greased and lined 20cm square cake pan
and bake for 1 hour and 45 minutes. Pour brandy over cake and allow to cool in pan.
Turn out and cut into 4cm squares. Melt Dark EASY MELT and cover cake squares. Melt
White EASY MELT and drop a spoonful on top of each square. Top with a pecan nut
and allow to set. Place into paper cup cake cases and pack into pretty boxes. Makes
