Sago pudding





Sago pudding
Ingredients
1 cup of sago soaked in 2 cups of water...
1 liter of milk
5 tablespoons of sugar
2 eggs

1 stick cinnamon
2 tablespoons of vanilla essence
A pinch of salt
A few cubes of butter
A little cinnamon and nutmeg for sifting over pudding
Method
Heat the milk until hot , add soaked sago , cinnamon stick , butter and salt and cook for about 20 minutes or until you see it thicken stirring to avoid sticking to bottom of the pot , add the sugar and vanilla and stir and take off the heat . Allow to cool a bit before adding the eggs and give one last stir .
Pour into a greased pyrex or baking tray and sift over a little cinnamon .
Bake in a preheated oven 180 degC for about 30-35 minutes .
