Ons het lank gelede hierdie inligting gekry (oorsprong nie bekend), maar het gedink om dit weer te plaas, want dis handige versiering vir koeke en alle eetgoed........veral oor kerstyd.
Chocolate leaves
Use: Unsprayed, nontoxic leaves with sturdy veins.
• Place broken bits of dark, white or milk chocolate in a small bowl for 30 sec. in microwave. Stirring frequently until all melted.
• Wash leaves and dry them with paper towel.
• Using a pastry brush or new small paintbrush, paint the chocolate all over the underside of the leaves. (Vein part of the leaf.)
• Put painted side up, on waxed paper and leave in cool dry place. (Or refrigerate briefly until the chocolate is firm.)
• Grasp the leaf stem and peel carefully, away from the chocolate. Refrigerate until you’re ready to use them.
