Mutton – Lentil soup

Mutton – Lentil soup
2 mutton chops or some shin
1 large onion chopped
4 cloves garlic chopped
1 t grated fresh ginger
1 T curry powder
1 tin chopped tomatoes
2 – 3 cups chicken stock
1 cup brown lentils (sometimes called black lentils)
Pinch of sugar
Method:
Fry onions till golden, add garlic and ginger and fry a bit more
Add curry powder and fry
Add all other ingredients and bring to the boil
Pop in slow cooker for 5 to 6 hours
Remove meat and take off the bone and shred
