EASIEST FRUITCAKE FOR CHRISTMAS
Cook together:...
1 cup brown sugar
125g butter/margarine
1 cup cold water
500g choice super cake mix
Let all cool down. Add 2 well beaten eggs.
Sift together 2 cups of self raising flour, 1 heaped teaspoon baking soda and 1 teaspoon mixed spice. Add to mixture.
Add 125 g glazed cherries and half cup of brandy (whiskey, port).
Preheat oven. Line a cake pan with aluminum foil. Pour mixture in pan. Bake for 1¼ hour at 150°C. Decorate with cherries and preserved green figs.
