BUTTER BISCUITS
250 g butter...
250 ml sugar
250 ml oil
1 extra large egg
10 ml vanilla essence
4 x 250 ml cake flour
10 ml baking powder
125 ml MAIZENA
Cream butter and sugar until light and creamy.
Add oil, egg and essence.
Sift flour, baking powder and Maizena into creamed mixture.
Mix to a dough.
Roll out on a surface lightly sprinkled with flour to about 5 mm thickness.
Press out shapes using a cookie cutter.
Decorate with red and green glacé cherries, currants and silver balls, 100&1000's
Place on a greased baking sheet and bake in a preheated oven at 200°C for 10 minutes.
Place on a wire rack to cool.
Store in an airtight container.
