Jungle Oats Crunchies




Jungle Oats Crunchies

Ingredients

3 cups of jungle oats...
2 cups of desiccated coconut
1 cup of chopped nuts
1 cup of raisins
1 cup of cranberries ( optional)
 1 cup of butter
1 cup of golden syrup
1 cup of brown sugar

Method .

In a saucepan melt your butter with the golden syrup and brown sugar - stir till all butter are melted .

Take this sauce and pour it over all the dry ingredients and stir with a wooden spoon till well combined . Spoon this mixture onto a baking sheet that has been lined with baking paper and press the mixture down with the back of your spoon making it even . Bake in a preheated oven at 190 degC for 25 minutes or until golden brown .

Remove from oven - while hot cut into squares or rectangles - allow to cool - this cooling process with harden the squares . So delicious .

You can be adventurous and add any chopped dried fruit or nuts - drizzle with melted chocolate and orange or lemon zest .
