Button Shortbread Cookies



Shortbread of two colors.
Ingredients:
    1. 200 g flour
    2. 100 g of  butter
    3. 80g sugar
    4. 2 egg yolks
    5. 2 tsp vanilla sugar
    6. 2 tsp cocoa powder


Simple homemade shortbread in an unusual way. Surprise your relatives or friends.
Totally I got 32 cookies (16 light and 16 dark).

How to make:
Rub yolks well with sugar and vanilla sugar.

Add soft butter, stir thoroughly.

Add the flour in portions, each time mix with a spoon.

Half of the dough put into another container, knead into a ball with your hands.

In the second half add cocoa, stir a little with a spoon and knead into a ball.
Put both kinds of tge dough in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.

Roll out the light dough into a layer of a thickness of about 5-7 mm.
Cut circled with cutters (I used an inverted glass with a diameter of 5 cm).

Then, make a dent on each circle but not cutting through to the end. I used the lid of a plastic bottle, its diameter is 3 cm

Then in the middle make two or four through openings as in the button. For this purpose, I used a tube from a small pack of juice (you can use a match or other suitable object).

Something like this.

Slap a ball with the remains of the light again, roll and so on. Similarly, do with a dark dough.
Hooking with spatula or knife shift all the circles on a baking sheet, laid with a baking paper.
Place in preheated 180 degree oven. Bake for about 20 minutes.

Cool the prepared cookies completely.
