Apple Chips



















6 apples, large, red, cored
1 squirt cooking spray
15 ml ground cinnamon
45 ml brown sugar, optional

Preheat oven to 140ºC.

Thinly slice apples, about 2mm thick, using a mandoline or a sharp knife.
Arrange slices in a single layer on two paper-lined baking trays and lightly coat with cooking spray.

Mix cinnamon and sugar together and sprinkle evenly over apples.
Bake in the top or bottom third of the oven for about 2 hours or until crispy and dry.
Cool before transferring to an airtight container for up to 3 days.

More good ideas

Use sliced pears.
Serve with yoghurt for dipping.
