STICKY COLA CHICKEN WINGS
Ingredients
1.5kg chicken wings
500ml cola
60ml soya sauce
60ml honey
3ml garlic powder
15ml cornflour
45ml water
potato or sweet potato chips, to serve
Method
Preheat oven to 220°C. Cook the wings in salted boiling water for 10 minutes. Drain and pat dry with paper towels. Place on a wire rack and rest this on top of a baking tray. Bake for 25 minutes.
Combine the cola, soya sauce, honey and garlic. Baste the wings with a little of the sauce and bake for 5 minutes.
Bring the remaining sauce to a boil on medium-high. Combine the cornflour and water and stir into the sauce, bring to a boil and cook until syrupy. Stir the wings through and cook for about 10 minutes, stirring until the wings are coated. Add a splash of water if the sauce thickens too much or starts burning. Serve with chips
