Sago pudding




Sago pudding

Ingredients

1 cup of sago soaked in 2 cups of water...
1 liter of milk
5 tablespoons of sugar
2 eggs
2 tablespoons of vanilla essence
A pinch of salt
A few cubes of butter
A little cinnamon for sifting over pudding

Method

Cook the milk , soaked sago and salt for about 15 minutes, stirring to avoid sticking to bottom of the pot , add the sugar and vanilla and stir and take off the heat . Allow to cool a bit before adding the eggs and give one last stir .

Pour into a greased pyrex or baking tray and sift over a little cinnamon and put on the cubes of butter .
Bake in a preheated oven 180 degC for about 30-35 minutes .
