Delicious butter biscuits .
Ingredients

150 grams of butter
1 cup of caster sugar
1 egg
1 teaspoon of baking powder
1 tablespoon of oil
1 tablespoon of vanilla essence
2 cups of cake flour .
Method .
Cream your butter and sugar together for a few minutes with a beater or whisk . Next add your egg , oil and vanilla and beat for a minute or until well combined . Next add your dry ingredients and mix together gently until a soft dough is formed , I do this by hand . Next cover with cling wrap and chill for 20 minutes .
Next roll out your dough on a well floured surface , cut out any shapes you desire . And bake at 180degc for 10-12 minutes .
Tip - This dough you can use for any biscuits ideas you like - hertzoggies , tart bases etc . If your dough is too sticky add a little flour . When rolling out this dough I place a piece of cling wrap or thin plastic over the dough when rolling out ...this prevents the dough from sticking to the rolling pin
