Whole wheat bread / vetkoek

1kg whole wheat brown bread flour. 1 egg 2pks instant yeast 1tsp salt 6tsp sugar +-1litre warm water. Method. Mix all ingredients in to a plastic bowl or glass bowl. Pour in water and mix till a semi soft dough. Place dough on floured board and knead for about 10 minutes,place
dough in bowl to rise,1 hour,when risen knock down,leave for half hour extra.make round balls and flatten with palm of hand,about 6mm thick,leave for 10 minutes, fry in hot oil.cover bread dough with damp cloth when waiting for it to rise.

Bread recipe the same as vetkoek. Only place bread in bread tin and bake for +- 1 hour in oven, heat oven up first @ 180 degrees. When bread is done smear marge or butter on top,grill until bread crust turns golden brown, if you bake a small loaf like on photo,use half ingredients. Don't use sugar in bread dough.
