Pavlova base




Pavlova base
Ingredients
4 large egg whites...
220 grams of caster sugar
2 teaspoons of cornflour
1 teaspoon of white vinegar

Method
First set your oven to 150degc
In a large bowl Whisk the egg whites with a electric beater until stiff , add the sugar a tablespoon at a time and continue whisking until shiny and glossy ..this all together should take about 8-10 minutes. Next whisk in the corn flour and vinegar .
Spoon meringue mix on a baking tray that's been lined with baking paper , create a circle and a dip in the centre with you spoon or spatula .
Put in the oven and down the temperature to 130degc. Bake for 45minutes . Then switch off the oven and leave the meringue in the oven to cool for a few hours .
Fill with whipped cream and berries .
You may also make mini Pavlova's.
