Biltong Bread




Biltong Bread
Serves 6

Variations of this snack were traditionally served at country funerals. It is enough to cheer anybody up! A real South African indulgence.

1 French Loaf
125g salted butter at room temperature
1 x 25g Ina Paarman's Liquid Beef Stock Concentrate
biltong powder or finely sliced biltong


Slice the French loaf into 1cm thick slices.
Process or cream together the butter and Beef Stock Concentrate. Spread the slices generously with beefy butter. Sprinkle powered biltong on top.

 INA'S TIP:
These make lovely cocktail snacks. Cut each slice in half for a dainty bite. We also used some of the egg yolk filling to top beef buttered bread.
