Scotch Eggs
For the Frikkadel
500 grams of steak mince ...
4 pieces of white bread soaked in water then squeezed dry .
3 garlic cloves peeled and finely grated
1 peeled onion grated
1 egg
1 teaspoon of salt
2 tablespoon of parsley
1 teaspoon of Black pepper
1 teaspoon of crushed chilies ( optional)
1 teaspoon of mustard powder.
4-6 boiled eggs ( peeled )
Method
Mix all Frikkadel ingredients together and place covered in fridge for 10 minutes . Now take out your Frikkadel mix and take about the size of a golf ball and flatten in your hands as much as possible , now take a boiled egg , you may cut it in half and place one half in the middle of the mince mix and gently pull the flattened mince mix over the egg ensuring that there are no gaps . Now shallow fry your Kebobs on medium heat till all sides are nice and brown . Serve with yellow rice and veggies or Mashed potato and veg. Delicious !!!.
