How to Fold a Rabbit Wash Cloth (Stap vir stap)

Making a bunny from a washcloth is a great way to change a facecloth from blah to cute! In addition, this lovely design can be used for several things, from Easter gifts for brand new washcloths to tucking ice inside to heal the bumps and scrapes on a young child.

Fold the washcloth in half to form a triangle. The washcloth must be square or squared off.
Roll the washcloth from the right angle corner to the long opposite side.
Fold the rolled washcloth in half.

Fold the washcloth in half again. Fold the loose ends back towards fold to start the ears.

Place the rubber-band around the washcloth 2 inches (4 cm) from the fold. Cover the rubber-band with ribbon

If giving as a gift, glue eyes and pom-pom (nose) on to the finished bunny to bring it to life.

  • Use as a holder for your favorite Easter egg.
  • Use it as a "boo-boo bunny". Put an ice cube in the washcloth when your little one gets bumped on the head.
