Servetringe vir Kersfees


Maak jou eie servetringe vir jou Kerstafel

Jan Braai se Hoender Braaibroodjie




Hoender Braaibroodjie

(for 6 braaibroodjies)
1 large cooked chicken (braaied or rotisserie)
¾ cup mayonnaise
½ onion (finely chopped)
3 medium-sized gherkins (finely chopped)
1 tot chutney
1 tot mustard (mild)
1 tot parsley (finely chopped)

250 g koekmeel
20 ml bakpoeier
3 ml sout
30 g botter
125 ml water
olie vir braai

Gesondheidstafies x 3 resepte

500g saad (sesam en pampoen)
’n hand vol droë bosbessies (cranberries)
’n hand vol rosyne
4 eetlepels koekmeelblom
50 ml stroop of heuning
Voorverhit die oond tot 180°C.
Verhit die saad, bessies en rosyne vir 3 minute in die mikrogolfoond. Roer dit ná elke minuut. Sprinkel die meel oor die sade en roer dit deur.

1 x 100g packet GOLDCREST Microwave Popcorn butter...
½ cup GOLDCREST Honey
2tbsp ground cinnamon
2tbsp sugar

Mielie Vetkoek




This traditional Mielie Vetkoek recipe served with Mrs.Ball’s chutney is always a family favourite.

INGREDIENTS:

1/2 cup of Mrs.H.S.Ball's chutney...
2 cups Self raising Flour
1 Large egg
1 teaspoon Baking Powder
1 teaspoon Salt
1 Tin 340g of Mielies (not sweet corn)
Canola Oil
Milk

METHOD:

Sift the flour, baking powder and salt together; add the egg and mix well, if you find it is too dry, add another egg. Now you add the tin of mielies, add the liquid as well and a little milk, until it has a smooth texture, but still slightly thick, so that if you spoon it, it will slide easily off the spoon.
Add the oil to the pan, about ¼ full. Heat the oil, spoon the dough in the hot oil, about four at a time, depending how big your pan is. You will notice that the top of the vetkoek will bubble, when brown turn it over and cook on the other side, When it feels very light its an indication that its cooked. This takes only a few minutes depending on the heat of your oil, remember to watch the temperature of the oil it must not be too hot or cold.
Repeat until all your mixture is used.
Serve with dipping bowls of your favourite Mrs.Ball's chutney.

1. Gebruik 1 eier vir elke persoon en 1 e vloeistof (water of melk) vir elke eier.
2. Klits die wit van die eiers styf en sonder om die eierklitser te was, klits die geel van
die eiers tot dit liggeel van kleur is. Voeg die vloeistof en sout na smaak by die geel
van die eiers.
3. Vou die styfgeklopte wit van die eiers in die geel.
4. Verhit ʼn braaipan en smeer dit op die boom en aan die kante met botter of vet. Die
pan moet klein genoeg wees dat die eiermengsel nie te dun uitsprei nie en goed
kan rys.
